Humain AI: Saudi Arabia's Sovereign Leap into Frontier AI

Humain is a newly launched national AI company of Saudi Arabia that is created on May 12,2025, by Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman under the protection of public Investment Fund (PIF)
This company has a missionary to build a sovereign, full-stack Ai ecosystem from hyperscale data centres to advanced multimodal Arabic large language models(LLMs) optimized  for regional dialects, cultural context and is capable of handling 7% of global AI workloads by 2030.
Humain's strategy emphasizes on "silicone diversity" and collaboration with Nvidia (which supply of at least 18000 Blackwell GPUs and potential to scale), AMD ( $10 billion infrastructure investment), Qualcomm (chip-design centre in Riyadh with ~500 engineers), AWS ( $5 billion "AI zone"), Super micro/Data Volt($20 billion data centre deal) some external AI firms such as XAI are already in talks to lease data-centre capacity from Humain which offers multiple gigawatts of capability. 
It also shows interest in Saudi AI infrastructure. 
Humain is the centre pillar of Saudi Arabia's project supremacy which plans to invest around $100 billion into AI infrastructure, and manufacturing initiatives to develop a sovereign Ai ecosystem.

Currently, Saudi Arabia is facing talent gaps and lower research output. They are offering favourable policies to attract foreign experts.
Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) governance and  regulate frame work which aims to train 20,000 data/AI specialist and 5,000 AI scientist, promoting start-ups, research institutions and intellectual property infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia is placing itself as a regional hub that offers low cost energy, secure data policy, and accessibility to Europe, Asia And Africa as an  alternative to western or Chinese digital infrastructure.
The term "sovereign AI"  capture aim of Saudi Arabia to control Ai  infrastructure, independence and cultural-tech autonomy.
